Particularly interested to see Coel rochussenii because I have two small plants but they have never flowered.

It took a few years for my C. rochussenii to bulk up and flower. It
grows in a basket in the roof of my house and never has a dry rest.

The pic by the way, was taken at another visitor site, here on Barbados, called Hunte's Garden. Super bromeliads here, maybe the best I have ever seen in a garden.
But Orchid World was a disappointment, in fact a disgrace. 30000 orchids it may have, but tyere were less than half a dozen i would care to show in public. Vandas don't like 95 % light, and being watered once a month - i am guessing of course. I have been twice before, and only went again because I was fool enough to believe the publicity. I would have demanded my money back - $(US) 12.50 each if the bouncers at the gate were a bit smaller...
I may send again if I see anything of interest, as we proceed via Curacao, Panama, and the Mexican coast towards Baja California and eventually San Francisco.

Hope you are all surviving the snow I read about...temperature here today is 27, and I don 't mean F.

Ps to Tricia - some problem with the connection here in the free wifi hotspot, so tjis message may have been duplicated . If so, pease delete one of them.

Sent from my iPad

Hi Geoff, When it's time to come home you'll be telling us you're snowed in I suppose.
