I have not seen the end of the arguement as to wherther the revised genus is Ida or Sudamerlycaste.
Can anyone let me know the final decision please.

Hi All,

Just a couple of pictures of an unusual flower, Restrepia Dodsonii which I
bought from Lawrence Hobbs last June and has just started to flower.
The flower stalks and buds are very thin, rising out of the sheath at the
back of the leaf......most unusual, it is almost like a piece of fuse wire
and impossible to notice the flowerbud at the end of the stalk until it is
about fully developed! (It's in a 4cm pot!)

I love restrepias. I have quite a few of them, and they are mostly coming into flower now. Restrepia muscifera is the one I like most, with the flowers hidden underneath the leaves.

They are really rewarding, easy to grow and small enough to have over 25 of them in a small terrarium!
